It’s been quite a while since I last tried writing any music. With my head and mental health being a bit all over the place these past few years, it’s something I’ve really struggled to come back to.
This morning started off with me just playing around with Vangelis’ Hymn, experimenting with a few different sounds… and somehow it’s turned into a complete piece — my own take on this beautiful track.
Don’t expect anything too polished — it’s just a bit of fun really — but I enjoyed putting it together and wanted to share it with you.
I’ve even asked Kayleigh Wilson if she’d be up for learning it, as I’d love to try a duet. I think it could sound something really special on her piano.
