{"id":601,"date":"2014-01-05T21:56:00","date_gmt":"2014-01-05T21:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.captains-blog.co.uk\/wp\/uncategorized\/boldly-going-again\/"},"modified":"2014-01-05T21:56:00","modified_gmt":"2014-01-05T21:56:00","slug":"boldly-going-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.captains-blog.co.uk\/wp\/photography\/boldly-going-again\/","title":{"rendered":"Boldly going&#8230;. again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Oooooo&#8230;&nbsp; Two posts in one day!&nbsp; Go me.<\/p>\n<p>I just wanted to post a picture that I&#8217;ve been working on to kill my boredom, and take my mind of having to return back to work tomorrow after having the past 2 weeks off.<\/p>\n<p>Several years ago I purchased a USS Enterprise model made by Bandai.&nbsp; The model is great, and even lights up.&nbsp; Since I have just recently purchased a brand new DSLR camera (Canon EOS 600D), I thought I&#8217;d try doing some shots with it and super-imposing them on to some &#8216;spacey&#8217; backgrounds.&nbsp; I&#8217;m working on a few at the moment, but this is the first one, and I must say I&#8217;m quite pleased with the finished result.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/img\/b\/R29vZ2xl\/AVvXsEhucwSYsooqiV4hUIEajphwM7h5ScXQRTwe9k8zQeRggIFS1sG95pWcEBSIz4odufW9oojemJMnB_KjURnOqwfichtr6j_iPbiF-DO3xr3yNBFm03Q_SDYJmTKNZFj4DVgmgNrw\/s1600\/trek.bmp\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/img\/b\/R29vZ2xl\/AVvXsEhucwSYsooqiV4hUIEajphwM7h5ScXQRTwe9k8zQeRggIFS1sG95pWcEBSIz4odufW9oojemJMnB_KjURnOqwfichtr6j_iPbiF-DO3xr3yNBFm03Q_SDYJmTKNZFj4DVgmgNrw\/s400\/trek.bmp\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\nWhat you can&#8217;t see is how I managed the blue tint to the hull of the ship.&nbsp; Since I don&#8217;t have access to a studio or fancy lights, I managed to achieve this with me holding my mobile phone at the model, and using&nbsp;a torch lamp app to illuminate the ship!&nbsp; Simple but effective.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oooooo&#8230;&nbsp; Two posts in one day!&nbsp; Go me.
